I decided to publicly share my breast cancer journey because I want other people to know that you can do anything with support from friends and family.
I am 2 months post-surgery on this very day. I found my lump and (DO YOUR MONTHLY BREAST EXAMS) immediately told my primary care physician.
We had my annual in May, and she checked it out and scheduled an immediate bilateral mammogram.
Then we did a biopsy because they did find something, and then it came back as malignant.
I immediately started seeing specialists and creating a plan to ensure that my life would be long.
I am so thankful to the breast specialist, oncologist, cardiologist, mammography clinics, friends, and family who drove me to my appointments.
I now start radiation therapy and the healing process.
I'm saying all of this to let you all know that you have to be your own advocate. You control all of this. Do not leave it to other people.
God Is Good All the Time and...
